Editorial & Data Policy
CryptoClassic earns trust by how it handles data, not by how loud it is. This is exactly how the numbers on every page are sourced, dated, produced, and preserved.
Where the data comes from
All price data is sourced from CoinMarketCap, whose aggregated daily coverage reaches back to April 2013 for Bitcoin. Every page that shows a figure names CoinMarketCap as the source and links to it. We add no other market-data providers, and we do not republish other publications' content.
Historical data is committed once, never silently revised
Daily open/high/low/close and market-cap history is fetched and written to the repository once, then treated as a permanent record. A number you cite from an archive page today should read the same a year from now. If a genuine source correction requires a change, it is a deliberate, logged edit — not a silent overwrite.
Current prices are timestamped and refreshed hourly
The single current-price figure on a coin page is refreshed hourly from CoinMarketCap and always carries the exact UTC time it was captured, shown as "as of {time} UTC · updated hourly." We never present it as a continuously updating or always-current feed, because it isn't one.
How pages are produced
Every page is generated at build time from committed data — there is no client-side scripting fetching or rendering the figures, so what you see in the page is what is in the source HTML. All-time highs and lows are measured from daily highs and lows; year-by-year tables, cycle drawdowns, and charts are derived from the same daily series.
Milestones come from our own data
The updates feed records milestones — new all-time highs, cycle lows, round-number firsts, large daily moves, and Bitcoin halvings — that are detected automatically from CryptoClassic's own committed price history. It is a record of our data, not a syndication of anyone else's headlines. Events that predate the data source (for example, Bitcoin's 2011 run) are documented as cited text milestones, never charted as exchange data.
No fabricated data
No figure on this site is invented, interpolated, or guessed. When a data point is missing, the page says so in plain language or shows a dash — never a placeholder or a made-up number.
Corrections
If any figure disagrees with its cited source, email sanketdesai1989@gmail.com or use the contact page. We check the figure against the source and correct it. Editorial responsibility rests with the publisher.
Independence & advice
CryptoClassic is independent of any exchange, token project, or fund, and carries no paid placements. Nothing on this site is financial or investment advice — see the Disclosures page.
