About CryptoClassic

CryptoClassic (cryptoclassic.org) is an independently published crypto price-history archive — a reference for all-time highs, year-by-year price tables, cycle drawdowns, and halving records that readers can verify against the cited source.

What this site is

This is a long-view archive, not a news feed or a trading dashboard. Its job is to record what crypto prices actually did and to keep that record stable: historical figures are committed once and never silently revised, and every number is traceable to its source and dated. Where data predates our source's coverage, we document it as cited text milestones rather than charting it as if it were exchange data. For exactly how the numbers are produced, dated, and preserved, see the Editorial & Data Policy.

Who runs it

CryptoClassic is owned, published, and maintained by Snket Desai, an independent operator who built and maintains the site's data pipeline and methodology. It is a solo, independent project — not affiliated with any exchange, token project, fund, or the 2021 Crypto Classic (CRC) token that previously used this domain.

Where the data comes from

Historical daily prices (opens, highs, lows, closes, and market caps) come from CoinMarketCap, whose daily coverage begins in April 2013. Historical files are fetched once and archived; current prices are refreshed hourly from the same source, and every page that shows one states the exact UTC time it was captured. Milestone entries on the updates page are generated only from our own committed price data — never republished from anyone else.
